Why Yoga Is So Misunderstood by Ed and Deb Shapiro

Yoga has come a long way from its roots in the east. As it has become more popular in the west teachers have added their own twist – both literally & figuratively. In the process of becoming so widespread, however, it often gets misunderstood by both teachers and practitioners.

Eckhart Tolle on Facing Adversity

A comprehensive look at the meaning of adversity, the opportunities it presents us, and how we can arrive at a place where we can truly say “life is good.”

You see your so-called life … it may be crumbling and it is painful, we are not denying it, it is. But it is a chance and opportunity for people to go deeper, and realise a foundation, something, what you can call  true sense of safety and security that has nothing to do with the externals of your life. It seems that it is necessary for many people experience adversity in the form of loss, to be driven there voluntarily they do not go there, and not everybody who experiences adversity will go there, some get trapped in a reactive movement, they  become deeply either angry, not fair, should not have happened to me, or despondent can’t take anymore!, or cry for the next 5 years, you get stuck in reactive movement, so more deeply stuck in a rigid pattern, but there is a chance that you can go deeper, and let go of seeking to identify with any form in your life, and suddenly something arises deep within that is peaceful you cannot name it, and so you have touched suddenly something that you didn’t knowe existed within you, the Formless. or Spirit which is the Formless, suddenly you have the peace that passes all understanding. Well I am trying to explain it! But it is hard to explain it!
